Days 3-5: Disneyland Park & Disney California Adventure Park
What California vacation with kids is complete without a trip to the happiest place on Earth? We’ve been to other Disney parks but as this is the original park, we decided to make the most of it and got a 3-day pass to Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.
Highlights
- Do all the classic all-time favorite rides found in other Disney parks in the world, like Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, it’s a small world, Peter Pan’s Flight, Haunted Mansion, Autopia, and Star Tours – The Adventure Continues.
- Do all the must-rides exclusive to California, like Alice in Wonderland and Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage (too bad Indiana Jones Adventure was closed at that time.) at Disneyland Park, and Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue!, Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree, Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters, Radiator Springs Racers, and Soarin’ Over California (we skipped coasters and water rides) at Disney California Adventures Park.
- Watch Mickey and the Magical Map, Star Wars: Path of the Jedi, Frozen Live: at the Hyperion, Turtle Talk with Crush, It’s Tough to be a Bug!, World of Color, and Main Street Electrical Parade.
- Meet Minnie Mouse at Minnie’s House, Elsa and Anna at the Disney Animation building, and Darth Vader at Star Wars Launch Bay.
- Explore Hollywood Land, Grizzly Peak, and the larger-than-life Cars Land (Note: now that it’s open — sadly we visited two years too early — don’t miss Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge).
